As to whether he'll be executed... who's to say? His name and the mark on his back speak to his good luck, but it was implied in the manga that the fight between him and Blackbeard was the start of a huge series of events. I can't think of anything more huge than Ace's execution. Whitebeard'd be out for the blood of both Teach and the government... an all-out war. Involving not only those players, but also possibly Luffy, Garp, Dragon, and Shanks.

I can only hope he'll survive. Legendary pirates don't go down easy right? Knowing Oda, it'll take another couple hundred chapters before we find out either way. T__T

Apparently a drunk Oda spilled the beans on 2 things during an outing with a person who worked for Toei. The first was about the face behind Duval's mask. The second was about Ace... being executed.

I don't think I could recover from Ace getting executed. Srs. I'd be a mess for days. It would be so very ugly, honestly.

That said, it's still a fantastic pic. Fav'd it like the fist of an angry god and whatnot. I like how you color so very much. How the hell do you do what you do? It's got this paint-ish quality to it that I rly like.
